This intensive one-week course delves into the interdependency between human activities and Earth's climate and biochemical systems. Drawing from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports, students will explore the scientific basis of current global challenges. The course introduces the concept of planetary boundaries (Rockström) and Doughnut Economics (Raworth), equipping students to apply these frameworks to decision-making processes that balance ecological sustainability with societal needs
