Together Against Transnational Organized Crime: Practical Aspects

The Center for Human Rights and Migration (CDOM) of the Romanian-American University invites you to a specialized course on "Together Against Transnational Organized Crime: Practical Aspects." This course will have distinguished speakers, including representatives from embassies with which CDOM collaborates, providing valuable insights into the practical challenges and strategies in combating transnational organized crime.

To have this course recognized for scholarship procedures, attendance at a minimum of 3 meetings of this program is required. The first session will take place on Friday, March 14th, in Protocol Room from 13:00 to 15:30 and will feature two distinguished guests:

  • Cristiana MACCHIUSI, Justice Attaché, Former Anti-Mafia Judge and Prosecutor, Embassy of Italy to Romania. She brings extensive expertise in combating the Italian Mafia.
  • Johannes MAASDAM, Police Attaché – Liaison Officer, Dutch National Police, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Romania. He has significant experience in fighting transnational organised crime.

This session will provide valuable practical insights into international efforts against transnational organized crime.
