Peter Mantello is Professor of Media and Cyber-Politics at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University.

His research and publications focus on the various feedback loops and interplay between big data, popular culture, security, and conflict.

He is co-founder and co-editor of theVisionmachine.com, a multi-media platform dedicated to the intersection between media, technology, and conflict.

Medusa's Gaze: Technology, Terrorism and the Politics of Horror, by Routledge will be published in May 2019.

While his second monograph, Policing the Future: Technology, Criminality and Law Enforcement in Pre-Crime Society, will be published in September 2019.
