Gabriel Velazquez

 

 

Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico.
Graduated with honors from the Bachelor in Law at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico in 2017.

In 2015, participate in an International Mobility program at Utrecht University, from that point forward he will endure his studies and professional path towards International Law.

In 2016, it was selected to represent the University of Guadalajara, at the IV Edition of the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition Spanish edition. In the said competition obtain the 3rd place holding the final hearing in the Court Rooms of the ICC and before the Judges of such Court; Sylvia Steiner and Olga Venecia Herrera Carbuccia. After his participation in the contest, it was invited to function as a memorial judge of the said competition, position that it is currently developing, assessing the written arguments of the participant’s universities from Latin America and Spain.

Also in 2016 functioned as Legal Intern at United Producers from Mexico, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, an exports company of fresh products coming from Mexico to be distributed in Europe. 

In 2017 it was selected internationally to represent Mexico as Policy Analyst at the Harvard Policy International Research Project. A research stay conducted at Harvard, regarding public policies for development. He is currently, coordinating the development of such program in Mexico as Country Executive.

Lastly he has taken several courses workshops and diplomas in International Public Law, International Commercial Law, Entrepreneurship and Tax law.

He is currently developing as Lawyer in Martinez & de Labra S.C., assessing international companies in the conduction of business in Mexico, and supporting them in the respective relations with the government. Also he asses Mexican companies interested in the foreign markets, mainly US and European Market. Academically, it is an active member of the Iberoamerican Institute of The Hague, as Judge of the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition, and also Professor of International Contracts, at Tec Milenio University.
