 |  My colleague, Federico Paesano, and I spent a particularly rewarding and fulfilling 3 days teaching at the Romanian-American University during November. Our hosts, Silvia and Alex Tabusca, were most welcoming and generous with their time, and the students willing to learn and engage with us. Although this was the first time we conducted training within a university setting as our target audience usually includes anti-corruption practitioners (investigators and prosecutors), the students threw themselves into the practical work and showed a commitment to understanding more about the use of cryptocurrencies, particularly Bitcoin, to launder the proceeds of crime. Federico and I were most encouraged by their enthusiasm and interaction, and appreciated their positive feedback. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the university.  | This was my venture in teaching at RAU. I will fondly remember the moment I landed at OTP. Dean Negricea welcomed me in the wee hours (2am). I never received such a warm reception anywhere. The next few days were no exception. I've taught outside the US a few times. Never did I see the students and faculty show so much respect and warmth. Most of the students showed great enthusiasm in learning Strategic Marketing from an American professor. The course website was very promptly updated everytime I needed to post any item. Hard copies of materials were made available promptly. The classes were audio-visually equipped. Overall it was an experience any visiting professor would love to repeat.  | We found that Bucharest is a very interesting city with much to offer. George Ionescu offered us a heart-warm greeting and even took us out to lunch at an Italian restaurant in Bucharest, where the cuisine and meal were impressive. He also provided a short tour while reflecting on some of the history of the area. My wife and I further explored ‘Old Town’ and were even able to tour the National Museum of Romanian History. The students were very disciplined and impressive to work with. Each day we had good discussions on reading material related to Corporate Social Responsibility from a European standpoint. Daily Discussion Questions offered a good way to reflect on the various topics, incorporating not only assigned reading, but also information from their majors and backgrounds. Overall, the students drive and determination will enable them to stand out in today’s world.  | It was a pleasure to teach at Romanian-American University. The students are very engaged and eager to learn. Even over the course of our short course, I saw them take what they learned in the class and apply it outside the classroom. ?The administration at Romanian-American University stands above other Romanian universities.  | My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed teaching the International Relations class where we interacted with a group of bright and very responsive students who wanted to dig deeper into the subject. We also enjoyed the many opportunities to sightsee and visit with other scholars, including a talk I was invited to give at Academia Romana. We felt welcome and very much at home as part of the RAU community. Thank you all for your generous hospitality and for making our visit such a pleasure.  | Teaching in the Erasmus+ mobility program at the Romanian-American University in Bucharest was a wonderful and valuable educational and cultural experience! The administrators and staff at RAU were very professional and helpful in every way. I truly appreciate Vice-Rector Dr. Mihai Sebea's kind and intelligent approach to this program, especially his dedication to the well-being of RAU's students. The students were bright, inquisitive, and genuinely interested in attending my class. They responded well to my questions as well as asked thoughtful and probing questions of their own.  | History of Espionage: This course provided an overview of the evolution of espionage as an instrument of government, business, and powerful families as they set out to advance their interests. Students were able to examine the careers of individual spies such as Oleg Penkovsky and Aldrich Ames whose activities affected the Cold War confrontations between Moscow and Washington.  | ROMANIA – from Communism to Coca-Cola: This three day class explored the impact of communism on East Europe in general and Romania in particular. Students learned about specific leaders such as Ceausescu and police organizations which enforced communist rule. The class also explored the human impact of communism with the creations of the "Romanian Gulag".
